Living it up: Ceili reflects on her gap year with El Casal
I was in Barcelona with El Casal in the Winter/Spring of 2015. Barcelona became more beautiful as we were there because flowers started to bloom along with the trees. This was a highlight for me because that was the first time I had spent more than a weekend in a large city.
There are lots of good reasons for taking a gap year but, whether you’re looking for language fluency, academic enrichment or involvement in the local community, having fun probably fits into your plans. Just living in Barcelona is a treat for the eyes and ears and tastebuds and, if your budget is unlimited, you can go back home with lots of wonderful and expensive memories.Let’s assume, though, that you’re on a budget. Can you still have fun? The answer is definitely “¡Sí!”
¡Diviértete! (Have Fun!)
