OUR MISSION

El Casal is a one-semester gap year program in Barcelona, Spain, which seeks to provide a challenging and rewarding atmosphere for personal and intellectual growth in young people who are taking time out between high school and college.

The program strives to develop creative and critical thinking, tolerance, self-confidence, global citizenship and a deep appreciation of Spanish and Catalonian culture.

COST

The 90-day program costs 9,200 euros and includes:

» The instructional program, including Spanish language classes and the core course program.

» A private room in a host family.

» Breakfasts and dinners, 7 days/week with the host family.

» Unlimited local transportation by bus and subway.

» All expenses related to our day trips and overnight trips. No extra charges.

» All museum and similar entrance fees in Barcelona and elsewhere.

» Tickets to theatrical productions, concerts and other special events are included when those events are part of El Casal’s instructional and leisure program.

» The Spanish student discount card, which entitles participants to significant discounts.

» Health and accident insurance.

» On-site support, 24/7.
